Housed within the University of Colorado School of Medicine and based at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado, the Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research envisions a world where all women are healthy and thriving. It pursues a mission of transforming women’s health through leading-edge research, the development of outstanding scientists, and partnerships with women and their families, providers, and the greater community to ensure women receive evidence-based, responsive healthcare. Research funded by the Ludeman Center focuses on the areas of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and integrated physical and mental health as they relate to women. Given that women were largely not included in studies until the 1990’s and the field has historically been understudied, the Ludeman Center is dedicated to funding the next generation of scientists focused on women’s health and sex differences research. The Ludeman Center is regarded as one of the best places to conduct research that specifically includes women and considers the distinct, but associated concepts of sex (chromosomal, physiological, and biological) and gender (social, psychological, and cultural) differences.
"Thank you for considering the role of Deputy Director at the Ludeman Family Center for Women’s Health Research. I welcome your interest in the Ludeman Center. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join an organization that is at the forefront of research and education in women’s health and sex differences research nationally. I invite you to bring your vision, leadership, and passion to this pivotal role. Together, we can build a future where everyone has access to the research findings and education they need about women’s health. Thank you for considering this exciting opportunity to join the Ludeman Center family." — Dr. Judy Regensteiner, Director, Ludeman Family Center for Women's Health Research
