Vice President for College Advancement

Lycoming College seeks a Vice President for College Advancement who will report directly to the President as a Senior Officer of the College. The Vice President will serve as the liaison to the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees and will be a voting member of the faculty. The Vice President will oversee Major and Planned Gifts, Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, Advancement Services, and Foundation Relations and will be responsible for budgeting, hiring, training, and performance management for the Office of College Advancement. The Vice President will also maintain a portfolio of major and principal donors. As the College’s chief fundraising officer, the Vice President will work with the President and the Board of Trustees to identify fundraising goals and priorities and will be responsible for developing and leading the fundraising and comprehensive campaign efforts of the College.
Founded in 1812, Lycoming College is one of the nation’s oldest and most respected residential liberal arts and sciences undergraduate colleges and is becoming increasingly recognized for the quality of its experiential programming and for launching students with essential skills needed upon graduation in today’s world. Students partner with faculty in doing original research, thrive in a robust program of internships and field experiences, study abroad in more than two dozen countries, and compete in 20 NCAA Division III sports. Lycoming College’s strong endowment per student helps to fund its ability to support a first-rate undergraduate education. The College offers 52 majors and 67 minors to 1,200 active learners, including 31% international and domestic students of color. Students are drawn to the College from 26 states and territories and 13 countries. The College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, which in its June 2021 review granted full accreditation for the maximum allowable eight years. Lycoming is also a member of the Annapolis Group, a higher education consortium that convenes institutional leaders from the nation’s very best liberal arts colleges.
