The DACOR Bacon House Foundation is seeking a Development Director who will be a dynamic professional who can advance the objectives of the Foundation and carry its mission, organization, and beautiful historic House well into the future for generations to come. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and their time effectively, work independently and collaboratively, and enjoy communicating clearly and effectively with a diverse set of members and stakeholders. This position provides an excellent professional development opportunity and the opportunity to engage with influential members of the diplomatic and foreign affairs communities in one of Washington D.C.’s most historic and beautiful office settings, located only two blocks from the White House.
DACOR is a 501(c)(4) membership organization comprised of a diverse community of foreign affairs professionals dedicated to advancing dialogue, mentorship, and professional engagement in service to the United States' role in the world. DACOR's philanthropic partner, the DACOR Bacon House Foundation (DBHF), is a 501(c)(3) organization responsible for preserving and stewarding the DACOR Bacon House and advancing educational initiatives that promote understanding of diplomacy and international affairs. Together, DACOR and the Foundation operate in a closely aligned partnership: DACOR serves as the membership organization and convening body, while the Foundation preserves the historic property, supports educational programming, and invests in the next generation of foreign affairs professionals.
