Vice President of Philanthropy
Community Foundation of Acadiana - Lafayette, LA
Community Foundation of Acadiana is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy who will be a key member of the Foundation’s leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing donor cultivation and engagement strategies designed to grow long-term assets, actively connect generous people to meaningful giving and build the foundation’s expectancies from planned gifts and legacies. The Vice President will also lead efforts to enhance external partnerships with wealth managers and professional advisors. The Vice President will be a self-motivated, passionate, and civically minded professional who can support the Foundation’s efforts to expand and deepen its work to improve the region and meet the needs of donors, partners, and neighbors.
For more than 25 years, the Community Foundation of Acadiana has helped generous people contribute over $431 million and facilitated more than $256 million in grants to nonprofits, churches, and schools. These milestones are more than numbers—they represent opportunities seized, lives changed, and communities uplifted. Now, they have been entrusted with helping translate unprecedented economic growth into long-term community benefit. To move from being primarily transactional to being transformational, the Community Foundation of Acadiana must invest in its own growth capacity.
"Our next Vice President of Philanthropy will not simply inherit a portfolio of relationships or lead an established program. This person will help us imagine what is possible, deepen our connection to the people who care about this region, and build the philanthropic partnerships and strategies that will shape our next chapter." — Missy Bienvenu, President & Chief Executive Officer
